about

These two pieces both began with a long, improvised, purposely abstract synth track.

I emailed one of those to my friends Ken Shorley (zhorli) and Megumi Yoshida to interpret independently by each adding a track of their own. What they sent back to me was as unexpected as I'd expected and guided the rest of the first piece's direction. They're both incredible artists and you should totally check out their other work!

Second piece is just me interpreting myself.

There's kind of a theme to this EP of the choice between looking endlessly closer for meaning or zooming endlessly out for context. Something like that, anyway...

about

Andrew Glencross Halifax, Nova Scotia

I've been lucky enough to play with lots of inspiring Halifax musicians. This stuff is mostly just me.

My solo recordings were released under the name Pale Son up until 2021. Now I just feel like being myself. I am still very much a pale son, though.
